The whole question of the date is difficult.
hope mixed with Evening
a blessed absence
It is not simply November.
. . . . . . . .
This erasure is again from the OED. The word of the day is tartan.

muted
footsteps
(almost) laughter
In honor of the 100th day of this blog, an erasure poem (a form I learned from Jen Bervin at a recent Seattle Center for Book Arts workshop) from today's OED word of the day: mute.

Happy Thanksgiving
to family, friends,
followers ... and you lurkers too!
Sketched in the romantically named Park T-107, along the Duwamish River (I'm gonna have to speak with Seattle Parks & Rec...).

Longfellow Creek —
poetry in motion
It's great that there are still natural free flowing creeks in West Seattle. Longfellow meanders three miles and then flows into the Duwamish. The Legacy trail spends a little too much time on streets, but has moments of brilliance including here, near the Dragonfly Pavilion and Fishbone Bridge (both very cool pieces of public art).
