It turns out that there is an official name for that color that reappears every September: National School Bus Glossy Yellow.

The Eye Center used to be in a windowless area of the UW Medical Center. Now it's on First Hill, with huge windows the length of the waiting room. Every time I'm there I roll my (dilating) eyes at the irony that there is this fabulous view that no one sitting there can see!

On my way to the bus this morning, I found a 'turtle green' crayon and picked it up. Peggy and I set out to sketch King Street Station and stumbled across some public art granite seats, sandblasted with quotes and images related to the railroad. The basis of this sketch is a rubbing from one of them. And it was fate: the CenturyLink Field sign and Sounder banner are, of course, turtle green!!
