Susan, there are times when I try to decide whether your picture is a watercolor or a collage sketche. This time I'm pretty sure it's a watercolor, but it has a real batik look to it. It's a lovely combination of lights and darks--very fitting for the solstice.
Glad you like it, Vicky, and you're right - it's watercolor - and now that you say that, it does look "batiky." The white lines are courtesy of masking fluid before the w/c washes.
