The OED word of the day for the erasure poem|commentary is 'nyctograph,' a device invented by Charles Dodgson (aka Lewis Carrol) to record ideas at
night in bed without fully waking up.
Strangely enough, I couldn't find one at Bed Bath & Beyond.
