the heavy down comforter
still on the bed

Stonehenge
a hidden Poem
The standing stones brood in peace—
The phenomenon beyond comprehension
. . . . . . . .
The OED word of the day for the erasure poem is 'letterboxing.'
It made me smile, as I have a sketchbook with a letterboxer's stamp; a group of them were doing their thing in Kubota Garden one day, and politely apologized for wandering in and out of my sketch view as they searched for their cache.
As for the poem, I can't think of an erasure I've done that seems to so specifically describe one place.

the old
ruled by the iniquities
of a tumultuous World
—with all its terrors
and ignominy—
There is nothing analogous
to the condition of the old
the Observer is off and running
. . . . . . . .
The OED word of the day for the erasure poem | commentary is 'ochlocracy,' or 'mob rule' to those of us with a more pedestrian vocabulary.
