The OED word of the day for the erasure poem is 'dole, dool, dule.' Actually, why stop with just those spellings. Most of the citations are over 500 years old, and include deol, duelle, dol... well, you get the idea. And none relate to 'dole' as currently understood; it's all about mental distress. Sometimes this is a lot more about 'mad' than 'joy.' :)
