in Seattle

sunlight;
we survive
without even that
in Seattle,

resigned

. . . . . . . .

The OED word of the day for the erasure poem | commentary is 'breatharian.' That would be someone who believes we can live on air alone.

My favorite citation is from a London newspaper: "Back in 1983, most of the leadership of the Breatharian Institute in California resigned following an outrage by Wiley Brooks, the 47-year-old leader who claimed not to have eaten for 19 years, but was caught sneaking into a hotel and ordering a chicken pie."

Per a previous word of the day, "O, ye boobies!"
