with heart in mouth

little ornithological acrobats,
the Tit-mice

Watching,
with heart in mouth,
out of the window

. . . . . .

The OED word of the day for the erasure poem | commentary is 'acrobat.'

Still finishing up this painting of a Portland bridge on the Willamette, but it's close.

Hi, Susan,
The painting is very beautiful.
Wow, I always learn new words from your post. You're so clever, "tit-mice"! At first, I wondered it a tiny mouse, but "ornithological"?? I got itʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ!
Cheers, Sadami

Thanks, Sadami. Not a good haiku word, ornithological: six syllables! :)

Thanks, Peggy. FYI, it's 14" x 20" - a big one for a change. I've since dropped a bit of color into the sky and darkened the railing into the river a bit. Will post a larger version of the finished one on Flickr probably tomorrow. I'm pretty happy with it. Just can't remember which bridge it was!!
